Less than a month ago, District 4 was empty of commissioner candidates. As of the deadline it stands as one of the more crowded races and Don Derencin is the man leading the solo charge for the GOP.
“It’s going to be tough. It’s going to be an uphill fight. I would hope people vote for me and not vote for the party,” Derencin said. “I’m a fiscal conservative. I don’t believe in spending a whole lot of money; I haven’t done it in my private life and I certainly am not going to start with other people’s money.”
